It's been a tough couple of years for all of us. There is no need to run through the list of challenges we have all faced through the pandemic. But I was thinking to myself that this year I am going to spend Thanksgiving reflecting on the positive things in life that I am thankful for.
My family - I am eternally grateful for my family. You guys are everything to me.
My job - I get to create videos and films for a living. Beats every other job I have had in the past - and I have had quite a few.
My friends - I get to meet so many wonderful people each year - actors, models, crew members, clients, co-workers, the list goes on and on.
My health - It's been a really crazy couple of years for me. Heart issues. Knee and shoulder problems. Getting sick multiple times. I'm far from the picture of health but I am thankful to have found a way to keep going.
My education - No, I don't attend school, but I have learned a ton through books and online classes. I am so grateful that I live in a time and place where information is so freely available.
My dog - Billy has been a wonderful addition to the family. He gets in trouble all of the time but he just so dang cute. And I know he loves us. It's the best when he cuddles up to you on the couch while you are watching TV.
My camera - I know it sounds weird, but I can't tell you how much I appreciate my camera. It is my paintbrush and without it I would probably be stuck in a dead-end job doing something I hate.
Yes, it's true that life isn't perfect and there are always challenges, but it's a refreshing exercise to write down all the things you are thankful for. I hope you'll do the same this Thanksgiving weekend!
